openEHR Serial Data Formats (SDF) DEVELOPMENT

Serialisation formats for openEHR data in REST API contexts. Specifies JSON and XML conventions for encoding RM instances in request and response payloads, aligned with the openEHR REST API specifications. The specification covers canonical JSON and XML as well as simplified variants, with transformation rules between them and the in-memory RM object graph. Implementers building REST API clients or servers use this specification together with the ITS-JSON and ITS-XML schemas to ensure interoperable payload encoding.

Purpose

This document describes the Serial data formats, a set of serialisations for openEHR RM data, intended to be used to generate simplified Data Templates.
